WHO ARE WE?

At Peaches Cultural Studio, our goal is to support you in your journey of self-expression in the way we know best, cultivating your natural hair and personal care. We believe your hair should be an extension of yourself, and that our job as your stylist is to make that self-expression as easy for you as possible.

My training as a hairstylist began with my mother, the Queen of the Locs, Muriel Taylor-Kennedy. She created the 1st West Indies & Black Owned Natural Hair Salon in Boston in 1996, Muriels Natural Hair Care. I developed and grew my skills under her leadership until 2010 when I purchased a salon in Dorchester from her. I managed and worked at that salon until 2020 when I rebranded it to "Peaches Cultural Hair Studio".

Today, I am continuing the family business in my new project; Peaches Cultural Hair Studio. My goal is to continue sharing and expanding upon the wisdom and skills I have developed over the past 22 years as a beauty designer, hairstylist, and supporter of my community.

Hello!
My name is Jeselle AKA Jazzy. I am the secretary/assistant at Peaches Cultural Hair Studio. I am also the first in command and the heart that keeps everything in the salon running to a smooth beat. I like watching movies and reading with a glass of wine to de-stress after a long day.

CHRISTINE

I am a skilled apprentice of the Locsboss with almost two years experience working with locs. I take pride in my work and look forward to meeting you!
